Facts:

  • Heat pumps can be used for either heating or cooling, using two reservoirs and transferring heat between them.

  • When it’s warm, the heat pump removes heat from inside and transfers it outside.

  • When it’s cold, heat from outside is transferred inside. A day as cold as 32 degrees Fahrenheit will still produce enough heat to warm your home, using a heat pump.

Benefits:

  • A heat pump maintains comfortable temperatures, while lowering humidity levels year-round.

  • Cleaner air – As air is taken out of rooms inside by the return air ducts it is pulled through the air filter, to removes airborne particles like dust and lint. Some filters may remove microscopic pollutants, as well. Filtered air is send back to rooms through the air supply ductwork.

  • Quiet operation, as the heat pump is located outside.
