AC Checks

AC systems are like a car; you need maintenance and to change the oil if you want to extend its life and keeping it running at its optimal performance levels. Let QLS perform that maintenance for you, with our Spring AC Check! Better yet, sign up for a Safety and Efficiency Agreement and you won’t forget!

Precision Air-Conditioning Tune-up Benefits:

  • Lower utility bills by reducing energy consumption and waste.
  • Extended equipment life.
  • Peace of mind for you and your family.
  • Fewer repairs, and improved system reliability.
  • Increased cooling capacity and efficiency.

WHY?

  • Cooling systems work very hard to maintain the quality of living your household expects. The constant stopping, starting and continual operation can wear down a machine quickly and unexpectedly if the proper care and maintenance is not performed. However, by performing preventive maintenance, or servicing your system regularly, you can maximize the lifecycle of your cooling unit and guard against many unexpected failures
  • Preventive maintenance inspections performed on a regular basis can uncover leaks, rust, rot, soot, frayed wires and corroded electrical contacts.

OPERATIONS AND CHECKS PROVIDED:

Spring AC Check

1.   Chemically clean and thoroughly wash condenser coil(s).
2.   Thoroughly clean or replace standard air-filter(s).
3.   Wash condensing unit for proper motor and bearing wear.
4.   Lubricate motor and fan bearings as well as other moving parts as necessary.
5.   Clean and inspect evaporator coil and drain pan when readily accessible.
6.   Clean and inspect condensate drain lines and fittings.
7.   Clean, level, and calibrate thermostat.
8.   Inspect, tighten and test all electrical connections. This includes disconnect switch.
9.   Inspect all cooling system electrical wires, connectors, and terminals.
10. Test system starting and running capacitors.
11. Test all controls, switches, relays, transformers, contactors, motors, and fans.
12. Measure starting and running amperes, line voltage, and control voltage.
13. Test system-starting capabilities.
14. Test system for proper airflow and air delivery.
15. Inspect and adjust all safety controls.
16. Monitor refrigerant (Freon) pressures and temperatures.
17. Test and record super- and sub-cooling. Compare with factory specifications.
18. Adjust Freon metering control device per factory/manufactures recommendations.
19. Test and measure air-conditioning system for proper production and capacity.
20. Monitor fan motors and compressor operating temperatures.
21. Complete and present full written report.
